The Burden

€ 2.600,00

Acrylic paint on Cotton Canvas  |  70 x 100 cm (excl. frame)

The Burden - is about the invisible mental weight we carry. Being there for family and friends, being a good parent, being a good partner, being good at your job, going to the gym.

This ‘mental load’ falls especially heavy on women. The pressure society places on them can become too much to carry.

In this work, the girl wears chains made of beads; each one a burden she carries. But the weight of all those chains has become too much. She is paralyzed under the pressure.

€ 2.600,00

Acrylic paint and pen on Cotton Canvas  |  70 x 100 cm

(excl. frame)

This work explores the emotional landscape of taking a leap of faith: the fear of what may lie ahead, balanced by the trust that beyond uncertainty, beauty awaits. It is about climbing your own mountains, embracing vulnerability, and believing that the most meaningful experiences often exist just beyond what we are able to see.

The painting invites the viewer to reflect on transformation, resilience, and the hope that every ending carries the promise of a new beginning.

Fear of Losing is about the fear of losing a friendship - while still being in it. In this work, the girl holds tightly onto the rabbit, which symbolizes friendship, innocence, and new beginnings. The moth-like creature on her head represents the subconscious mind, the hidden parts of the self; in this case, the quiet fear of losing what she already has.

Sinking

€ 1.800,00

Acrylic paint on paper  |  30 x 42 cm

(Frame included in price)

Sinking is about the thoughts we carry, both conscious and subconscious. The fish in this painting represent what lies beneath the surface, the subconscious itself. Yet they float above the water: four circling the girl's head, two resting in her hands. Without realizing it, we carry our subconscious thoughts with us in daily life.

The girl stands waist-deep in a small pool. Its walls are patterned like a circus, she is trapped in her own circus of thoughts.
